Boys Town:

Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, and hope for the future. While some children have many opportunities to shine in these areas, others don’t, because they are struggling to survive poverty, abuse, neglect, and families in crisis. Regardless of a person’s background, race, or religion, Boys Town believes that everyone deserves the chance to reach their full potential.

Unfortunately, even with the many young lives we save and change, there are still far too many boys and girls who could benefit from our help but don’t know how to find it. We hope you can help increase awareness to those youth (and their families) who need the unique assistance our Hotline services provide.

We have grown to become a national organization that reaches communities from coast to coast, and our scope has expanded to include in-home family counseling, health care and programs to rebuild at-risk schools.

One of our services, provided free of charge, is the Boys Town National Hotline®, a 24/7 crisis hotline for kids and parents. It provides a website specifically for teenagers called www.YourLifeYourVoice.org .  For 30 years, the Boys Town National Hotline® and its extended services have been answering the call when children and parents need immediate, professional, and compassionate assistance, answering 150,000 calls, emails, texts, and chats a year.

Your Head
This PSA campaign, “Your Head,” addresses the tendency of many teens to let negative thoughts snowball. These three spots (:60, :30 and :15) “look inside” a troubled teen’s head with live video and animated embellishments–to illustrate how anxieties can dominate a teen’s outlook and – if left unchecked – can push out good feelings and take over.

“Your Head,” urges teens to respect their own heads – and offers practical, proven ideas for purging negative thoughts, and how teens can take steps to replace depressing feelings with a more upbeat outlook.

“Your Head” encourages teens to not ignore depression by “keeping it all in.” Teens can take the first recovery steps themselves. These steps can begin by sharing their issues with trusted friends and adults and talking through their depression.

Another solid first step to recovery is to visit YourLifeYourVoice.org – the national youth care organization from Boys Town, established a century ago with locations in communities across America. Its purpose is to “save children and heal families.” Through the decades, Boys Town has counseled and cared for tens of thousands of troubled youths.

Connect More
In today’s fast-paced world, staying connected with your kids is more important than ever-and sometimes harder than ever. That’s why this PSA encourages parents to build strong, open lines of communication through everyday conversations. When kids feel heard in the small moments, they’re more likely to open up about the big ones.

This PSA empowers parents with a simple, practical tool: weekly conversation starters from Parenting.org. Designed to fit into busy lives, these prompts help parents spark meaningful dialogue, strengthen emotional bonds, and better understand their children–especially during times of growing stress, anxiety, and mental health challenges.

From silly to serious, these conversation starters make it easier to get past one-word answers and build deeper relationships. Families will laugh together, learn more about each other and lay the groundwork for lifelong connection.
