Studies show that nearly half of Americans are not saving for the day they will no longer be working. What’s more, over the next 20 years, nearly 80 million baby boomers will retire, and most will depend on Social Security benefits for a substantial portion of their retirement income. If they do not plan for their future now, then older Americans will be forced to make financial sacrifices in what should be their golden years.
SSA’s newest TV PSAs entitled “Life’s Journey,” (:15 length), and “We Are There” (:60 and :30 lengths), show that Social Security provides benefits from the time we are born until the sunset of life.
